Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

PROVIDES RESEARCH CONSULTING

 

- Accountable for the collection and analysis of data and information about customers, markets, and the environment to develop and provide fact-based strategic competitive and market insights to senior management in order that senior management may make informed decisions about future strategic initiatives.

 

- Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis, prepares documents for presentation of recommendations to management; assists in the review, design and execution of market analysis methodology.

 

- Directs research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues, develop formal recommendations, and effectively communicate recommendations to executives, senior leaders and managers.

 

LEVERAGE RESEARCH RESULTS

 

- Ensures the accurate and timely research, collection, analysis, verification, and reporting of information or data used to manage initiatives, design or improve processes or workflows.

 

- Craft and deliver well-structured and well written memos and presentations that are ready for distribution to a broad client base.

 

- Direct and manage the various market research consumer insight publication and insight generation initiatives.

 

MANAGE RESEARCH VENDORS AND PROJECTS

 

- Direct and manage research activities leveraging technical skills.

 

- Assists the Panel Research Manager on panel and on-line forum survey design, implementation and analyses, day-to-day panel and forum management and logistics, panel plan communications and year-long calendar development, and insight generation.

 

- Engage and manage research vendors to effectively analyze needs, evaluate alternative solutions and create recommendations to meet organizational goals

 

Moderate to heavy keying required

Job Requirements:

 

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

 

- 4+ years of experience in the market research field (competitive, market place, and/or customer research), with hands-on management of research vendors

 

- Experience with quantitative survey methodologies and statistical analysis applications (Conjoint, MaxDiff, SPSS, On-line panel and/or community management, etc.)

 

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

- Experience in developing research communication plans and consumer insight write-ups

 

- Experience in a consultative role with senior executives and business partners

 

- Basic knowledge and some experience with Share Point site management

 

- PC skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe PDF)

 

 

Business Specific Criteria (preferred skills):

 

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Market Research

 

- Experience in on-line panel and/or forum management a plus
