2nd Shift HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Polaris designs, engineers, manufactures and markets off-road vehicles (ORVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and the Polaris RANGER™, snowmobiles and Victory motorcycles for recreational and utility use and has recently introduced a new on-road electric powered neighborhood vehicle. Polaris is a recognized leader in the snowmobile industry; and one of the largest manufacturers of ORVs in the world. Victory motorcycles, established in 1998 and representing the first all-new American-made motorcycle from a major company in nearly 60 years are making in-roads into the cruiser and touring motorcycle marketplace.
OPPORTUNITY: This Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of HR duties to support the 2nd shift team at our large manufacturing operation in Roseau, MN. We are seeking a bright, energetic HR Professional to jump in and put your knowledge and skills to use while supporting key internal customers. Responsibilities
- Business partner to large client groups in manufacturing such as welding, paint, and/or assembly.
- Identify, communicate and problem-solve employee relations issues.
- Provide leadership training monthly to supervisors, group leaders, and team leaders.
- Facilitate team meetings, project teams, and other events.
- Coach, counsel and direct leadership regarding Company policies and employment law. Ensure fairness and consistency.
- Maintain open communication by spending significant time on the shop floor, following-up in a timely manner, facilitating discussion, planning communications, and coordinating with leadership.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including labor forecasting and planning.
- Partner with client groups to achieve Company, function, or department goals and objectives.
- Participate in and/or drive safety action and engagement.
- Support lean processes, goals and objectives, including facilitation of kaizen, and increasing employee engagement in the improvement process.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Polaris Roseau continues to promote innovative design and manufacturing techniques and industry leadership. Engineering product research, development, product testing, and manufacturing of snowmobile, ATVs, and RZR side by side vehicles are the year-round activities of this facility. A separate facility houses our state-of-the-art plastic injection molding facility. The molding facility supplies plastic parts for snowmobile and ATV production in Roseau and in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Business or HR related field and 2-3 years of manufacturing HR experience, or;
- Master’s in Business or HR related field and significant HR internship experience.
- Ability to resolve employee relations issues and relevant knowledge of employment law.
- Proven ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, problem solving skills and ability to deal with difficult situations.
- Willingness to relocate to other Polaris locations within 2-3 years.
