Account Manager, Sales & Marketing, Immunology: California at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy LLC, Flint, MI

 NOTE:  This position is for an Account Manager to work, live, and cover the California region.

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Account Managers/Sales Representatives works promote the company and add customers and business relationships by marketing to customers, physicians, and clinics and maintaining those relationships. This position sets up exhibits at conferences and expos to promote the company and gain business.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
 

  • This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • There are no direct reports to this position.

 

  1.  
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.   
  • Experience: Two years of professional sales experience and pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
  • Licensing/Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification or taking classes toward certification is preferred and encouraged. A valid Driver’s License with a good driving record is required.
  • Skills/Knowledge:
    • Pharmacy or medical and/or medical billing background is helpful.
    • Strong customer service background.
    • Ability to recognize needs of and express concern for people.
    • Ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quota goals.
    • Highly proficient in managing multiple projects.
    • Specific business knowledge in core areas.
    • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
    • Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
    • Able to work independently and also direct the work of the organization.
    • Have exceptional skills in reading, writing, and verbalizing in order to communicate effectively with employees, business associates, and vendors servicing the company’s needs.
    • Organizational, fact-finding skills and problem solving skills are required.
    • Must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task.
    • Strong phone and computer skills required.
    • Be able to work well with various personalities and work as a team.
    • Should be organized and able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
    • Must be dependable and able to act with discretion maintaining levels of strict confidentiality.
    • General knowledge of Internet navigation and research, e-mail, fax transmission, and copy equipment are essential.
  • Physical: Sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, walking, usage of all body senses and capable of lifting 40 pounds. Must have ability to operate a motor vehicle to visit customers and vendors as needed.
  • Mental: Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and understand marketing reports, sales forecasts, and target markets.
  • Language: Fluency in English with outgoing personality that translates to phone skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Technology: Proficient in Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Rx30.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Travel required to visit customer locations, supplier facilities, and trade shows.
  • Encourage and promote the goodwill of the business among direct customers, physicians, medical clinics and other venues.
  • Assist with marketing and direct mailing campaigns.
  • Plan, implement, and attend meetings sponsored by clients or special interest groups to promote product and services as determined by VP Sales & Marketing.
  • Assist and exhibit at relevant conferences and expos as determined by VP Sales & Marketing.
  • Answer phone calls as needed and outbound calls to doctors for sales calls and follow up.
  • Running, utilizing and maintaining expense reports.
  • Follow-up with the Specialty Departments for any concerns or problems.
  • General filing as needed.
  • Assist in Wellness Center as needed.
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned.
